Our Seminarians
Onitsha Archdiocese has a long-standing tradition of fostering the spiritual formation of young men through its seminary program. Our Seminarians are the future leaders of our church, and we are committed to providing them with a strong foundation in Catholic teachings, so that they may go on to serve their communities and spread the message of Christ across the world. Through rigorous academic coursework, in-depth theological training, and a focus on spiritual growth, our Seminarians are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead successful and fulfilling lives in service of God. We believe that investing in our young Seminarians is an investment in the future of our church, and we are proud to be a part of their journey towards becoming spiritual leaders in their own right. Join us as we support and encourage our Seminarians in their journey towards fulfilling their calling as missionaries of Christ.
2023 Pastoral Letter
“God offered a permanent solution to the mystery of suffering when he sent his beloved son to rescue humanity through his own suffering. Thus, Jesus has become an answer to the problem of human suffering. He took up the brutal suffering of the cross, endured it in his human nature but used his divine nature to turn all suffering into the path of glory and salvation.”
Archbishop Valerian Okeke “The Hour of Glory: Suffering in the Life of a Christian” Pastoral Letter 2023.”
