  • Ordinary of the Ordinariate for the Faithful of the Eastern Rites in Argentina 1998 - 2013
  • Created and Proclaimed Cardinal on February 21, 2001
  • President of the Argentina Episcopal Conference 2005 - 2011
  • Elected the 266th Successor of St. Peter, March 13, 2013
